A Vinyl Lover’s Ultimate List

When it comes to The Beatles, narrowing down their greatest songs to just 20 is like choosing your favorite star in the sky—nearly impossible. But for the love of vinyl and all things Fab Four, we’ve taken on the challenge. This list is for Beatles fans who cherish every note, every lyric, and every record crackle as the needle drops on their turntable.

In Part 1, we’ll count down from 20 to 10, spanning their incredible discography from 1962 to 1970. Whether you're spinning these on an original pressing, a reissue, or even a rare mono mix, these tracks belong in every Beatles lover’s collection.

20. “I Want to Hold Your Hand” (1963)

The song that changed everything. When The Beatles invaded America, it was this single that led the charge. Released in late ’63, it became their first U.S. No. 1 hit and set the world on fire. The moment you drop the needle on this track, you can feel Beatlemania exploding in real-time.

19. “Blackbird” (1968)

From the White Album, this acoustic masterpiece is Paul McCartney at his poetic best. Inspired by the civil rights movement, “Blackbird” is simplicity and beauty intertwined, making it one of the most treasured Beatles songs ever recorded. The sound of McCartney’s foot tapping as he plays adds to its raw charm—a moment every vinyl lover appreciates.

18. “Revolution” (1968)

Nothing prepares you for the raw power of John Lennon’s fuzzed-out guitar when “Revolution” kicks in. Released as the B-side to “Hey Jude,” this track is the rebellious heartbeat of 1968. If you’ve got an original 45 of this one, hold onto it—it’s a prized gem for vinyl collectors.

17. “Something” (1969)

George Harrison’s moment to shine. “Something” is not only one of the greatest love songs ever written, but Frank Sinatra called it "the greatest love song of the past 50 years." Featured on Abbey Road, it remains one of the most romantic and beautifully produced Beatles tracks.

16. “Can’t Buy Me Love” (1964)

Another early Beatles smash hit, “Can’t Buy Me Love” captures the excitement of Beatlemania. Released as a single ahead of A Hard Day’s Night, this song features one of the most infectious melodies The Beatles ever crafted. That opening guitar riff? Pure magic.

15. “Come Together” (1969)

The moment the needle drops on Abbey Road, you’re hit with “Come Together.” That slinky bass line, Lennon’s whispered vocals, and the groove that never lets go—it’s pure rock ‘n’ roll perfection. No Beatles collection is complete without this track on vinyl.

14. “Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)” (1965)

The song that introduced the sitar into Western rock music. From Rubber Soul, “Norwegian Wood” is mysterious, poetic, and features one of Lennon’s most intriguing lyrics. A vinyl must-have for fans of The Beatles' folk-rock era.

13. “Help!” (1965)

The title track from Help!, this song captures Lennon’s plea for help during the chaos of fame. It’s upbeat, yet deeply personal, making it one of The Beatles’ most important songs. Whether in mono or stereo, hearing this on vinyl transports you straight to 1965.

12. “Strawberry Fields Forever” (1967)

A psychedelic masterpiece. Recorded during the Sgt. Pepper sessions but released as a single in early 1967, “Strawberry Fields Forever” is Lennon at his most experimental. If you have an original 45 paired with “Penny Lane,” consider yourself a lucky collector.

11. “Eleanor Rigby” (1966)

The Beatles proved they were more than just a rock band with this haunting track from Revolver. With its stunning string arrangement and Paul McCartney’s storytelling at its finest, “Eleanor Rigby” remains one of the most powerful songs in their catalog.

_______________________________________________________________ That wraps up Part 1 of our countdown. These ten tracks alone could make for an incredible greatest-hits album, but we’re only halfway there! Stay tuned for Part 2, where we reveal our top 10 Beatles songs of all time.
